I bet Jack Welch wanted the oil in the GE post filter-flo to be watered down so that the transmissions will leak quickly.Every single GE filter Flo and Hotpoint Rim flo that was older than 10 years was missing its low speed for some reason or another. Low speed simply did not remain for any length of time. Most common cause was the entire shifter armature was just missing in the scrap pile no where to be found.
The washer works great with no leaks or signs of previous leaks. I believe it is the quietest filter flo I've ever owned. Both machines look to be all original and all 4 agitation speeds work correctly on the washer.
