But not the 13th generation.pulled the stereo, cd player and gloves box out but cannot locate where the blend door actuator goes....The one on the side is a mode door actuator. The blend door is on top of the case and requires removing of the heater case to access. If it is the same actuator, remove it again and see if the door moves freely without any restriction. If it does move freely, the new actuator is the issue. Yes, if it cycled too far, it will damage the gears.
