Dayz server unreachable
An open server doesn't mean an public server. It is a different shard as well. so there is no way to make my server public unless its run my fragnet or one of those server for rent i have the server on my pc locally downloaded the server files last night. So I try one strange thing. I open the game and minimize. I proceed to delete the Dayz files in my documents folder. I reopen the game and attempt to join a server. SUCCESS!

Posted May 11, 2015. Being Simatho's brother I can confirm we did not play experimental. To add to his explanation, the connection failed message would only pop up if one of us was in the server, he could connect if I was not in the server and vice-versa.
