I would expect it to either fire a full clips worth, or possibly just keep firing until the pistoleer proc ends. To replicate, just equip athodai, get a headshot kill and then use the alt fire.

Arcane Pistoleer is also a valid choice, in fact it's a better option in mid tier missions where your base damage output is enough and you don't really need a lot of bullets for a single enemy. But against higher tier enemies, I prefer being able to burst the most dangerous enemies faster, and Velocity helps a lot with that.I was thinking of using arcane energize to go with it, which would make me have to choose either arcane precision or pisitoleer, but seeing as I need a damage increase precision seems like the clear choice. I use arcane energize and arcane precision. the problem with arcane pistoleer is that if you can headshot kill something, you can honestly mow down the entire group it spawned with anyway with Dex Pixia. it's fun, especially for PoE+Blitz, but it's just not as effective.
