Right, I have the Boat Buddy II now, but the pin is bent/misaligned. I have had the same problems with the boat buddy II which is why I don’t use it anymore. The ramp n clamp has been great. I suspect that the drotto is like the other devices in that the operating window (how deep or high the trailer needs to be in the ramp) is relatively narrow.The Ramp and Clamp latch works with almost all types of boats. But their website recently updated that the Ramp-N-Clamp latch doesn’t work with Yamaha 242 boats, boats with ridges or hulls, and scuff plates. Alternatively, when you look at Drotto, it works pretty well with boats having a bow roller with 3 3/4″ – 4″ measurements.
