Let's say my str and dex is 14 for the uchigatana, if I make it lightning. Does my dex affect the damage at all, like if I raise dex is the damage increased. You wont need Quelaags soul for lightning, it´s for the Furysword. Bring a +10 Uchi to giant blacksmith. You make it lightning with a titanite chunk.

If you go pvp, I suggest you use a Frayed Blade instead of Uchi, because it has better moveset (best katana) and recovery cancel ability (not as good as rk, but still). Sellswords are good too. Other options are: schimitar, gotthards + estoc.
