The meter fills rapidly when the weapon is sheathed and wanes with each melee hit or shot fired. The damage boost and how much it depletes the meter for each hit depends on the weapon class. On that note, aerial decoration is not a good match with longsword as helm splitter doesnt count as an aerial attack. Only attacks which have mounting potential are counted as aerial attacks and benefits from that decoration. I do agree that there's too much handicraft and losing 2 points of it for brace and coalescence would be a better choice. ….
