The scythe of blossoms does chopping damage but it is also able to be used with the assassin mutation to get bleed on hits. I used it to kill the IBM, I think it's a worthy weapon. It's worth noting if you upgrade it on an elemental path it loses slashing and becomes chopping/element.Scythe of Blossoms does both chopping and slashing damage types.
