Brief review: Pros: Goes on real easy once you've got the slide stop fitted (see cons). Mags are reasonably priced and go to 14rds when you mod them out of state. Slide locks back on empty.The MP5 SD estimated retail price is $519. A blowback system operates the .22 caliber HK MP5 SD. When the magazine empties the bolt remains open. Its front sight is adjustable for elevation and comes with interchangeable posts. The rear sight is adjustable for windage and elevation. The safety switch rotates 90 degrees, as does the 9 mm MP5.Final Verdict. Pros & Cons. MP5 controls. Compact. Inexpensive ammo. Cons. Limited applications. The Bottom Line. H&K has created something very cool with their .22 LR versions of the MP5. Although it has limited applications, the pistol we tested ran well for a rimfire blaster and was a lot of fun to shoot.
