Honda atv turns over but won t start
Sound you hear is the starter solenoid. You need to check to see if the starter is getting voltage when hitting start button. If it is, then its the starter. If no voltage to starter, its the solenoid. 1 2. My 2020 Honda Foreman 520 runs fine with no issues. I can run it as long as I want but once its been run hard and I shut it off then it will not START again until it cools down. It will turn over fine but will not start until cool. Then it will start again and run without issue.

I got an 04 foreman 450s. So I just cleaned out the entire carb about 5 days ago. I just started it at 3 and drive it over to my garage to I could finish putting the plastics on from when I put my new ignition switch on. I had left it in gear originally, but when I returned and it wouldn't start, I found that it was in neutral. Normally when the engine is off, but the electronics are on, it displays which gear it's in and allows you to change gears prior to starting the engine: but not anymore ...I beat my head against the wall for 10 hours on this, searching forums and stumped. Reverse and neutral light on, bike in neutral, bright green. Switch gears and still lit but slightly dimmer. Go to reverse, bright red, go to another gear, still lit, just a little dimmer. Bike turns over but no spark. Checked every fuse, cleaned every connector.

My Rancher does the same thing your talking about, and it does it often. Once it would start clicking, I would take a screwdriver and loosen and tighten and move the battery cables around on the terminals. 100% of the time, it was the cable connections at the battery.Dec 20, 2009 · Checked wiring back and forth to switches and starter. They suspect fouled plug and sold me $17.00 one to put in. Thought this was going to be an easy project. Still trying to take shroud off over the engine to get to plug.Check the #11 Fuse (15A) in the Driver's Under-dash Fuse Relay Box is seated properly. This fuse can get dislodged by mistake on the 1999 and 2000 models while engaging the parking brake. This fuse is for the ignition coils. The 2001-2004 had a cover installed to prevent this from happening.
If its cold outside (below 40) I have to do this with mine, or it wont start at all. Starter brushes would be another thing, a cheap test light will tell you if you have power going to the starter once the button is pushed. Yes the atv will run when it is started by the kick start... The light works and everythings is fine. The battery will just not supply power to anythings and it is good on a meter. I will check the 2 fuse holders, there are only two correct. traeger ler When it refuses to start again, with the filter off spray some carb cleaner into the intake then hold the throttle wide open and see if it fires for a few seconds. If not then I suggest you replace the CDI with an OEM part (even a used OEM one from eBay as long as it's guaranteed tested good). 2001 Foreman 450 ES.Hello, I'm new here and not the smartest person when it comes to ATV's and iv'e got a 2004 foreman 450 Es. I haven't touched my 450 in about a week and this morning started it up but a few seconds later it died. I tried again again and again and it wont start at all now. Battery measures 12.5 volts, jump start @ 14 volts doesn't help. 4. Starter has new brushes about 2 months old and it worked great after the brushes were installed. 5.Then you have a DC ignithon with 6 pin CDI unit - first you need 12v on the red wire at the CDI box - unplug the CDI unit, turn the key on and check for 12v between the red and brn wires - note pic is the back (wire entry side) of the plug, so you want positive on the top center pin to graound and brown is ground. fedex 710 dado st san jose Try fresh gas and new spark plugs. I've tried spraying starting fluid in the Carb, but it will only backfire occasionally. It has a new spark plug, The wire shocked the **** outa me when trying to crank it once, so im assuming it has spark.
