I had a Ithaca/SKB 200E with blued receiver in 20 gauge with 25 inch barrels. It was factory choked skeet and skeet or so it was stamped on the underside of the barrels at the action mating surface. In fact, the amount of choke was about .007 constriction in both which is a little tighter than generally accepted as a skeet choke in a 20 gauge.Dec 28, 2018 · #1 · Dec 28, 2018. Mechanically, it is in great shape. Unfortunately, somewhere in its distant past, someone tried to fill the engraving with gold, maybe using gold leaf.The SKB is a good shotgun. The 150th Anniversary model commands its higher price due to the high grade wood and trim. While a lower grade field or target version of the SKB might be a better value, I don't think you can go wrong with any of them. I don't particularly care for shotguns with high profile receivers (Browning A5, Citori).

I have a SKB 585 Sporting and a 682 Gold E Beretta. The Beretta is a fine well balance gun. The SKB is also a very good gun. Not as smooth when opening it and the fit and finish is not as good as the Beretta. The SKB has a little more barrel weigh so it swing deference.
