Better question: why is the one on the bottom right valid housing? It's got player-placed background walls, a solid (hammering doesn't change this) roof & walls, and presumably fits the furniture requirements. How is it valid tho? Floor shouldn't be 100% platforms, I think. it's the floor, if you have mostly plantform flooring it won't count. you need to have at least one solid block on the ground.

Housing can only be valid if you place the walls and and bottom/sides/roof (as far as I've noticed). Good luck fixing it and enjoy Terraria.
